Jayson Krause, Managing Director
An entrepreneur at heart, he has led three different start-ups and spent several years as a senior management consultant – working with organizations across North America, Europe and Asia to deliver innovative leadership programs.
In 2010, he co-created the Science Behind Success™ – a disruptive approach to leadership based on the physiology of high performance, which was piloted at the Warrington School of Business at the University of Florida.
As a former executive with the world’s largest coach training school and professional certified coach, Jayson combines twelve plus years of sales, marketing and strategic planning expertise with more than eight years of executive coaching to deliver results in leadership effectiveness, team-building and communication skills. He also provides one-on-one coaching to executives, business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Jayson is a senior faculty trainer for The Coaches Training Institute (CTI), a foremost authority in coach training. He leads the core curriculum and corporate training for new coaches and corporate leaders nationally and internationally. He is also certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), EQ-in Action, The Leadership Circle Profile and Virtual Facilitation.
Some of the clients he has worked with include: AltaLink, Cenovus Energy, Devon Energy, Enerflex, Enmax, Ikea International, Jabil Circuits, MEG Energy, National Energy Board of Canada, Nexen Energy, Nova Chemicals, PennWest Exploration, Singapore Civil Service, Singapore Training & Development Association and Tourmaline Oil.
Prior to his career in coaching, Jayson began his leadership and high performance path as a Canadian national team bobsled pilot. Through competing against the best in the world for over eight years, Jayson cultivated a passion for building high performance teams – winning three national titles and competing in four world championships.
In December of 2016, Jayson was awarded the Top 40 Under 40 Scholar Award for his co-submission (with Dr. Milly Mocodean) at the International Conference of Management Cases at the Bimtech Campus in Delhi, India.
Ben Clarke, Director of Coaching & Strategy
Ben is a certified professional coach who combines 15 years of senior technical and management experience in international oil & gas with 10 years of coaching to help clients deliver results. He provides one-on-one coaching to executives, senior leaders and entrepreneurs. He is known for helping leaders redesign life & leadership. Ben’s clients overcome obstacles, thrive during transition, rebuild marriages, make large business decisions with clarity and move forward with new purpose. Ben is known as a compassionate listener who challenges clients with new perspectives and profound insight.
Before becoming a full-time coach, Ben grew a successful 15-year career in oil & gas exploration, working in the UK, Norway, the US and Canada as a department & project leader and as a senior technical specialist. He has managed teams of up to 15 people. Ben’s teams have been involved in some of the largest new oil discoveries of the last 10 years. Ben has worked in head offices and remote field locations for super-majors, national oil companies, successful junior operators and a start-up company. He has a PhD and additional post-doc scientific research experience. Ben’s focus in business is mentorship, staff development, and creative integration of new technology.
Ben has a PhD in applied science from the University of Cambridge and a BSc with first class honours from the University of Edinburgh. He has leadership training from Oxford Business School and an industry-leading portfolio of technical training. Ben has led map-making missions with close protection teams to north Africa, Iraq and previously unmapped areas of Bangladesh.
Outside work, Ben is a photographer, a mountain climber, a piano player, and spends as much time as possible with his family.
Shelley McKenzie, Executive Administrator
Shelley is the executive administrator at Kraukman and is an enthusiastic, go-getter with a warm and friendly disposition that is a welcome addition to the team! She is a savvy Assistant to Jayson, who is constantly impressed by her problem solving skills and fresh ideas.
Shelley’s career started as an Executive Assistant in the telecommunication industry in the early 1990s. With three young daughters at home and a desire for more freedom, Shelley shifted careers. Entrepreneurship is a common theme in Shelley’s family and starting her own business was a perfect fit.
She completed the Virtual Assistance Certification program through Red Deer College and has since taken several training courses since. Shelley is a lifelong learner and enjoys ongoing training in online skills and small business. She has enjoys the challenge of learning new skills and technology.
